I wanted to show the candles up close, as well from afar in the context of a group within the unique setting of Colombia's narrow town streets, and somehow use both elements to spell the logo. I wanted the final illustration to have the same loose scribbly look as this sketch, which I feel I only halfway succeeded in doing, but still had a lot of fun anyhow.

duttonart:

My Google Doodle today for Día de las Velitas (or Day of the Little Candles) in Colombia. People line the streets, balconies, windows, you name it, with candles and paper lanterns.
